During the first term, students were provided with the opportunity to practise their English in three interactive school-wide English Speaking Days.
The English Speaking Days all had different themes – ‘The One I Admire’, ‘The One I Want to Thank’ and ‘My Friends’. Students were given a list of questions to think about in advance, so that they could prepare some interesting answers.
On the English Speaking Days, students could speak with any teachers in English, as well as students selected to be “English Smarties”. Students were rewarded with stamps in their English Passports. When they have been awarded 40 stamps, they can redeem prizes from the Fun English Room.
Student participation in the activity was very high, and students had prepared some excellent answers. Many students thoroughly enjoyed speaking with their teachers, peers and friends in English |
